Thanks to Corey D.: I would just like to start by saying this was the best show I have ever seen, period. I have been to over 500 major concerts and from the start of the show to the last song (Nirvana's Negative Creep) the energy was something I had not felt at a concert ever before. The band and crowd both were truly amazing. The crowd, young and old, turned into old school heavy metal rockers and the band fed off the energy from the crowd. VR played their hearts out on ever song and the crowd just kept asking for more. You could feel the crowd and the band just getting more pumped up as the night went on and when VR played Mr. Brownstone Kansas City erupted. The crowd went insane. There was a wheel chair and a fake leg flying around the room. I saw guys jumping from the top balcony to get to the lower level. People were moshing and punching each other. Jumping around, up and down. It was freaking nuts.

I will never forget this show. Scott's police hat, bull horn, him jumping into the crowd, Saul's Top hat and amazing guitar playing, the crowd surfing with fake body parts flying around. Matt and Duff obviously having a blast. It was awesome.

But, there is more. There was about 40 people who stayed the two hours after the show to watch the band leave on the bus. What happened next was incredible. Every member walked over and signed autographs, took pictures, just hung out and bullshitted with us for at least an hour. Matt and Duff may of been out there for an hour and a half. They were truly having a great time being back out on the road. What we all talked about will not be quoted in respect to the band, but they held nothing back. As they left to get back on the bus Duff jumped in the air with his fist clinched and yelled it's great to be back!!!!! And it was great to have them back..... it was a perfect ending to a perfect night.

Thanks to Gary: My buddy and I went to the KC show the next night and were front row by Dave and Duff. The show once again kicked ass and Slash ripped off three solos right in front of me including the last song, Nirvana's 'Negative Creep'. I about shit myself cause I could not believe I was that close. Then at the end I got Matt's stick he bounced off the stage. We hung out again and this time Scott came down for about 10 min and signs along with everyone else. Believe it or not Dave's autograph is the hardest to get cause he does not hang that long, but I was fortunate enough to get one. And of course there is a story book ending, not only did I get my pic taken with Duff, but I was able to get one with my arm around Slash! What a night! One I will remember forever! Thank you Dave, Duff, Matt, Scott and Saul!

Thanks to da_illest: Okay........I'm not gonna write an entire essay. I got there early enough to see the tour bus arrive. Slash was the first person to walk out of the bus. I did meet and greet Duff, Matt and Dave. But we waited in line for like 2 hours to get in. I got up front right in front of Duff's microphone. Silvertide performed and it was alright. About 9, that's when Velvet Revolver hit the stage. They performed alot of songs including SMF, Slither, Mr. Brownstone, Used to Love Her, Sex Type Thing, It's So Easy but they did not play You Got no Right. Slash dedicated Used To Love Her, to all of the ladies.

At the first song, the crowd was pretty mellow. But Scott got on the mic......and said, "I heard that K.C. did not know how to Rock N Roll.......I heard K.C. was all about country music, it's time to shift the power back to the youth!!!" Than that's when it got crazy............I was getting smashed........the 11 year old dude next to me with his mom was getting smashed. Crowd surfing...........it was awesome!!!! I had a conversation with the band's photographer. He was a pretty cool guy. I offered him 100.00 for an advanced copy of Contraband but he said that he didn't have it and nobody has it. He also said that the whole band works out everyday and are very clean these days.

Slash drinks occasionally. We also talked about Camp Freddy and future Velvet Revolver plans. And we also had a "nice" conversation about Axhole with nothing but nice things to say. Something interesting he said was that Scott does not hang around the band that much though. Hmmmm... But over all the show was kick ass!!!!!!! And it was a classic!!!! My friend right next to me got a pick from Duff and Dave. I got one from Dave. I was blessed because Slash played one of my favorite solos It's So Easy......within inches from me. To see him play in front of your face is breath taking. On TV you see his eyes clothes and the sweat just dripping from his hair and he's just putting all of his mind and soul in to the guitar. Well seeing it in person, not only did he have sweat falling..........but he was drooling with a 12 inch string of slobber hanging down from his mouth. The shit was funny. I'll add more if I can think of it later. Peace!!!!!

Thanks to Cory: Ok, this was my first time that I have ever seen Scott Weiland live and I must say he is f'n crazy when he gets on stage. I drove 7 hours to see this and I must say I was not disapointed (I wish they would have played at least 1 more STP cover but o'well). Anyway it took the crowd about 3 songs to really get into it (Scott made comments about KC being a city that only liked country music and whatnot) then when they played Crackerman it got insane. Out of the Velvet Revolver songs I only heard 'Set Me Free' and 'Slither' but 'Fall To Pieces' was really really f'n awesome. Overall this concert was worth the 30 bucks and the drive from Nebraska. Silvertide, along side Oleander have got to be one of the best opening bands I have seen, I got to sing into the mic when he came out in the crowd during there last song. Also I was right behind the guy in the wheel chair and during 'Sex Type Thing' the wheel chair got to go crowd surfing :D. Also the old couple who were pulling down crowdsurfers and throwing punches were just stupid. I think they eventually got thrown out, I saw 3 or 4 people shoving them to the right side of the stage so I'm not sure what happned. Also got a face full of gatorade, thanks to Scott throwing it in the crowd, it hit some guy infront of me and just splatterd!! This was a great closer to an awesome string of shows, I also saw Metallica in Omaha on Wednesday the 12th. Awesome show and if any of the guys in the band read this, please play in Omaha or Lincoln Nebraska on your next tour!!

Thanks to PlushJeff: Purple lights filled the stage as the sillohuetes of GnR walked out. Crowd went nuts as you could make out Scott coming to the front. Wearing a police hat, leather vest with a scarf, redpants and boots, he attacked the mike all night long. Great rock show.

The whole band was awesome. Totally rockin. Scott jumped in the crowd once. He also spent a lot of time hanging around Slash while he was rockin a few solos. Scott didn't look as bad as I thought he might. Pretty toned with some meat on his bones, not as scrawny as I was afraid he might be.

Closed out the show with the bullhorn siren. Could definitely see influences of both STP & GnR.

Scott commented on Axl being a motherfucker for suing about songs. He also said that "Fall To Pieces" was written about a time when he made up with his wife after being kicked out of his house. He also said the "Slash came up with the greatest little riff ever for the song".

As an STP fan, awesome show. As a music fan, awesome show. Very fun and for only $20, pretty sweet deal.

SIDENOTE - There were some 45 + people on the main floor. One woman was at least 50 and was in the middle of the pit. She got fucking pissed off because she kept getting run into. What the fuck. She threatened to kill some kid next to me. Hey, don't get main floor tickets if you want to have a nice peaceful time at a rock show! Best part, the kid and his buddies took turns throwing each other crowd surf style into the older woman. Her boyfriend appropriatly tried to kill them.

At another point, I saw a dude choke a woman. Totally wrong, not matter how bitchy she may have been, which she wasn't. Crazy shit.

Thanks to Yoko: Damn that steak was good! And the show was smokin' too. Them Kansas City folk love that there Rock-n-Roll! A very intense crowd, tons of energy circling between them and the band. "Fall To Pieces" was especially good, gave my goosebumps and Negative Creep was amazing! There's something about that song, don't know what it is, it's just got that thing that makes me want to run in traffic with my pants down around my ankles. Thanks God it's not too hot or it'd be a Weenie Roast. We're in Minneapolis tonight, home of The Artist Formerly Known As An Unpronounceable Symbol. It's an early show due to a strict curfue, so I'm sure there'll be lots of movies happenin' tonight on dabus. Namaste, Yoko

Thanks to Dana: Very, very good show! For all the people out there, this would be a great opportunity to see a huge band before it is next to impossible to get close during a concert. As soon as the album drops Velvet Revolver will be headliners of much bigger arenas. They have great energy throughout the entire show, it never lets up. And everyone knows, they don't have any trouble writing and playing songs with that legendary lineup. It's like seeing your favorite new band grow up right in front of you if you get out there now and see them. Velvet Revolver is the leader of the rock scene to come!

Thanks to Falcon: I'm back fom KC and alive to tell about it. Guys went on at approximately 9:05PM and and went to 10:20.

I was directly in between Scott and Slash, 2 deep the entire night. The crowd going nuts, crowd surfing, mosh pit et al. At least 3 full on fights broke out in my area, the crowd feeding off the bands energy in a strangely violent way.

Make no mistake, this is the Weiland and Slash show, the synergy they create and the chemistry between the 2 is amazing. The first three songs are all full on rockers, thick and heavy. 'Crackerman' followed taking the crowd to another level of delirium, Weiland throwing the first bullhorn aside and onto the next without a hitch. The next song, a new tune "Illegal I" doesn't conjure too many memories, still coming down from "Crackerman". "It's So Easy" took the energy level up a notch, Scott seems to enjoy doing the GNR tunes as much as the GNR guys like doing the STP stuff. "Fall To Pieces" followed, Scott described the riff as the "most beautiful piece of music on the album" with the lyrics inspired by his wife "booting him out of the house" and his subsequent personal problems. For me, the song was a momentum killer, for the guys, a well needed break to catch their breath.

"Big Machine" followed (my favorite new tune of the night)very groove laden, big chorus etc. I think Scott said something like "this is a great song to fuck to". An extended "Set Me Free" followed, then a break followed by "Used to Love Her" to open the first encore. This was another momentum downer for me, I like novelty songs about as much as power ballads so take my opinion with a grain of salt to those who like it.

Next was an extended intro to "Slither", a great build up then BOOM! Slash and Weiland flying all over the place, definately a highlight. The place was in flat out hysterics by then when the mayhem went even further with "Sex Type Thing". It was flat out amazing, heavy, heavy, heavy.

Another brief break with Matt returning to the stage with the intro to Brownstone. Of course, every kid and burnout alike went balistic, Scott got into this song in a big way, posing, bull horn, whirling dervish, you name it. After Brownstone, the night ended with an ungodly version of "Negative Creep". That song is a show stopper, their take on it is dead on. Not too much variation from Nirvana's, a great way to end a rock show for sure.

A few side notes: Scott jokes were running rampant through the crowd, nothing malicious, just normal stuff you'd expect from a restless crowd and a singer with a checkered past....

Scott's looking a bit healthier, still rail thin but looking better.

His voice was incredible, not one misfire all night...

Slash hasn't aged a bit. Scott said something to the affect of "here's Slash, our favorite player and guitar hero". .. Slash broke out the top hat towards the end, looking cool as hell as usual...

Not only did the crowd surf, a wheelchair and prosthetic leg made the rounds as well..

Silvertide was worth a listen, the drummer is a ferocious, Grohl-esque hitter..

That's it for now, I'm drained.

Final thought: If you like rock music, don't miss these guys. It's a sweaty, nasty no holds barred showcase of new Velvet Revolver tunes and a few timeless classics. Don't miss it.

Thanks to RNRJunkie: First off it takes me 3 hours to get to KC, I have an extra ticket and none of my loser friends wanna go, so I go hans solo. Velvet Revolver hits the stage around 9-9:30 Slash and Duff wearing black leather pants black t-shirts, Scott came out wearing a pilots hat and sunglass and red bell bottom pants with a red scarf. They jumped into 3 new songs, the band is so tight and so much energy, Scott sounds so good with Duff, Matt, Dave and Slash. Every time Slash did a solo the crowd cheered, he is one of the only guitars players left who can make his guitar speak and he did it all night along with Duff and Matt keeping killer rhythm as they have for years. They played 'Crackerman', 'It's So Easy', 'Used To Love Her', 'Mr. Brownstone', 'Sex Type Thing', and the last song was Nirvana's 'Negative Creep' which was fukken amazing, they rocked that song, and the GnR and STP song's are better than before. 'Sex Type Thing' is so much heavier sounds alot better to me, and Scott sounds killer doing GnR songs. All the new songs are killer as well, and a ballad, where Slash has his signiture killer riff in it, I like it. There were times when they would be jamming or at the end of a song Slash would be playing amazing's solo's while Scott had his mic is his megaphone with the siren on, it was so cool. Also to see Slash and Duff side by side doing GnR songs or just jamming smiling having fun, was very cool also. This is what a rock n roll band is suppose to be, I seen GnR there very first tour and 10 times after and this is a band I wanna 10 times also. If your like my so called friends and find any excuse not to go your fucking up, quit your job, sell your TV, hell - sell your girl friend, lock the kids up at home, don't miss a killer show like this.
