Thanks to Marc: I've waited 11 years to see Matt, Slash and Duff live again on stage and it was mind-blowing. They really rocked the Grosse Freiheit in Hamburg. It was so hot in there! "Like a sweatbox" Slash said sometime during the show. Scott was in good shape his voice on Fall to Pieces was so beautiful and Dave really fit perfect into this band. They all were shirtless after the 3rd song. They spend most of the time playing while they were standing on the monitor boxes. It was amazing cause all three gunners looked better than 10 years ago.

My Highlights of the Show:
- Sucker Train Blues (great opener the crowd loved that one)
- Big Machine (tight rhythm section better than on the
record.)
- Illegal I (cool voice-box solo by Slash)
- Sex Type Thing (a long version with a lot of audience
interaction)
- Mr Brownstone (hamburg went crazy! I loved it.)

The setlist was the usual one with Negative Creep as the last Song. I think 90% of the audience didn't know that one but it rocked. After 80 min the show was over. and I saw only happy faces around me. What a great night for Rock n Roll. I hope they come back next year.

Thanks to MeanMachine22: Hi everybody, I was lucky to witness one of the best(if not the best) Rock N' Roll acts ever. The only time that I have seen something better was, well yup, Guns N'Roses back in the day.....

Anyhow, the venue (Grosse Freiheit) is a rather small club (attendance like 1.300-1,400 I guess)and it was packed with a lot of enthusiastic fans waiting to get their asses kicked :)

The show started around 10:15 p.m and lasted until ca. 11:35 p.m.

Sorry to say that I can't tell the exact setlist but they played three all time GNR classics (Mr. Brownstone, It's So Easy & Used To Love Her) along with STP's Crackerman and another STP song and of course their own "in your face" - rockers like Sucker Train Blues and Illegal I.

Since it became very warm very fast everybody on stage lost their shirts pretty early. As usual Scott wore this village people hat and showed everybody that he has a strong fetish going on with this freaky megaphone. Let me tell you something. Even if Scott looks a little "weird" sometimes this motherfucker is one hell of a frontman!!!

The climax of the show was (at least for me) when Matt came on stage for the first or second encore kicking into the drumming part of "You Could Be Mine" and then switching over into Mr. Brownstone and the whole band joined him for a very cool version of this song. Another climax definately was "Slither" & "Illegal I" and "Fall to pieces"

I strongly recommend this band to everybody who is sick and tired of synthetic "plastic bands" pretending to play Rock N' Roll.

Those guys I have seen on stage yesterday were in there for the fun and the spirit of honest music. I am really looking forward to see how this career goes (second album etc) but for now I would say we got a new major league player in the game.

Thanks to Volker Peschel and the Hamburger Morgenpost: Könner und Poser.

"We are doing fine - I can tell you!", bekräftigt er.

Thanks to Markus: That was the best fucking gig I have ever seen in my life. The first band "Revolt" sucked, but then after a break of 45 minutes, Velvet Revolver got on stage, introduced by the words of a roadie, "you wanted the best and they will fuckin make it, from hollywood Velvet Revolver" then they kicked off "Sucker Train Blues"and the whole hall went insane. The temperature in the hall were over 50 degrees but Velvet Revolver was even hotter than those 50 degrees. The great mood lasted on, till the last song was played. Velvet Revolver's songs even the cover songs were great or even greater than great. Slash played some solos who really kicked ass. If they play in Germany again.I'm there dude. P.S. forget GN'R, it's Velvet Revolver's time!!

Thanks to Thorsten: Well, what can I say about the show yesterday in Hamburg? It was the best fucking thing I was ever part of. For real. I was one of the lucky bastards who got a backstage-pass for the "Grosse Freiheit" because I knew someone from the support act and it was absolutely perfect. I met Slash and the other guys and it was like a dream come true for me!!! I am a Gunners fan since 1991 and from that time on Slash was and still is my hero!

Back to the gig: It was amazing, so amazing that I really couldn`t tell for 100% what songs they played! But I think that it was the same set as in Stockholm. What matters is that they really rocked the house which was sold out by the way. The crowd went totally crazy and we partied all the time. Slash was definetly the star of the show and the fans worshipped him a lot. Next time I will definetely be there again!!!!
