Thanks to Vince: 10 minutes before the start of the show, a roadie changed all the initial 15 songs setlist for a short 13 songs one. Mr Brownstone was planned to be played with Izzy and Negative Creep was also probably planned. Due to the sauna atmosphere, management and group decided to cut short the gig, which runned only for 75 minutes (5 and 3 minutes of encore breaks!). The band went on stage very late.
The "blond girls" of the band stayed only for the 30 first minutes of the gig in the VIP area on the center of the balcony. A roadie came from backstage before the gig to bring them water. A DVcam filmed the three first songs for iTV, french "CNN" of Canal+ group. The guy filmed from the mixing desk. A DVcam filmed for the band in front of the stage the first 3 songs and a miniDV filmed on the balcony light desk the whole show (no one was operating it, it was just in wide angle). One miniDV amateur filmed from the right of the balcony, using his sidescreen! No security at all, he was not caught. No one heard about him since the show (no sale, no trade ?)... Three DATs taped the gig, one was directed by an Italian bootlegger (possible release in the future ?). At least one or two MDs also taped the gig.

A few fans found the ultrasecret hotel and did many dedicaces, after the gig and the morning after. Izzy was the coolest one. Duff was almost ill after the gig. Slash and Duff went to airport were early the morning after, around 2 PM. The other stayed a few hours more...

Thanks to Slasher: Waoh!! It was a fuckin' great show!!! The band was at is best!! I'd never seen Slash before and God, it was magic!!! Fuckin' amazing!! I can't believe it!! It was so great!! Set me free was brilliant, the best song of the show!! The "solo battle" between Slash and Dave was incredible!!! And the end of the show, with Izzy!! The crowd became crazy "Izzy, Izzy" everybody was shouting is name and during "Used To Love Her" and "It's So Easy", everybody were singing!!! It was loud, heavy, incredible, magic!!! Thanks guys for this great fuckin' gig!!!

Thanks to Steph Collin: It was the very first time I saw Slash, Duff, Matt and Izzy! Yes, Izzy was there! I've been a GNR fan for more than 16 years, so it was just like a dream come true. The boys from the band rocked, they almost set the venue on fire! Velvet Revolver is now a fantastic live act.

Definitly one of the greatest show I have ever seen!(and I've attended more than 80 shows!)

Thanks to Der Engel: Lights! Everybody on stage! Surprise, Scott Weiland, the singer, wearing a kepi decorated with a Maltese cross soon appears together with Duff McKagan, Slash, Dave Kushner and Matt Sorum. From the first song, it is necessary to hang on, to resist to the pressures from everywhere and to the sways in the crowd to try to stay in its place. I soon meet myself without understanding anything in the second rank about at the level of the middle of the stage. This performance is a monumental slaughter, since the time when I had assisted a concert of an ex-member of Guns n' Roses (the last one being November 19th, 1993 for the tour of the side-project of Duff McKagan). Crazy rhythms, very good set of scene, openly nothing to criticize on Velvet Revolver who got high on stage, forming a symbiosis with the public because the musicians did not hesitate to rise on the returns so that everybody can see them. Moreover, the singer at some point demand for the public if it is ready to have two hours of concert, I think for my part that it is going to be very hard for them because of the ruling heat which looks like many to hamper them because these sirs stream with sweat... First reminder, Scott announces that a musician is going to join them on the stage as special guest, it is about Izzy Stradlin, another ancient former of Guns n' Roses. They are together going to play two titles of their ancient group: Used to Love Her and of It so Easy for the biggest happiness of all the fans who know by heart the words. They will make the second as back before leaving definitively and what the lights flare up again.
I think that I am going to go abroad (closer possible from my home) to see again them to relive these moments of pure happiness!

Thanks to Slashtobe: I travelled from Dublin to Paris with one simple objective... to see the greatest band in the world playing before my very eyes. As I arrived outside Le Bataclan I was greeted with a truck with a load of equipment with Velvet Revolver on the side... they were here!!! We grabbed a few beers whilst the cue diminished from outside then made our way in. Support band were pretty good but it was merely foreplay for the greatest gig I've ever seen. It was hot as hell in there but I was staying in the pit, weaving my way close to the stage. The lights went out... the outline of Duff popped up to the stage and you could see Slash's hair then all of a sudden, the lights came on and all hell broke loose for Sucker Train Blues! I stood at the front right of the stage, 6ft in front of Slash! Close up of the legend himself working the magic on his sexy Les Pauls. Highlight of the show was Mr Izzy Stradlin coming out for Used to Love Her and It's So Easy. Why go see Axl's Guns and Roses when we saw the original Guns right before our very eyes!? Sweet Gig, great Band and all that could improve it was a better sound set up. Solo's were a bit quiet and the bass a bit too loud but to be honest... I didn't give a shit! Velvet Revolver fuckin rock!

Thanks to JustinJones: Saw the show in Paris last night, it was absoluteky f****** amazing, I thouroughly enjoyed it, those guys are magical, well done Velvet Revolver.

Thanks to Ghislain: Amazing, it's the first time I see Slash in true! I was waiting for this moment since I was 10 years old, and I'm 23 actually! What a show! And with Izzy! All of them rule! Slash+Duff+Matt+izzy! It was like seeing Guns N' Roses. Thank you for this show, maybe you've seen 2 guys with a flag! It was me and my best friend... Velvet Revolver: the true rebirth of the fuckin' rock n' roll spirit!

Thanks to Foxy Lady: Velvet Revolver kicked solid ass in Paris. Omg!! As a massive fan of GN'R, STP and the Snakepit, I had mad expectations about that concert. Anyways, the show kind of started when a roadie placed the top hat on the amp rack. The crowd went nuts and chanted 'Velvet Revolver', and 'Get In The Ring'!! They finally came on stage at 9:30 when the lights went down with the classic intro: 'From Hollywood. Velvet Revolver'!

I thought I was about to explode as I caught a glimpse of the band outlines in the dim light, as they strapped on their instruments. Then in a burst of lights and sound, they were there. The crowd went mad and I was just about ready to die. They all looked fucking strong and in amazing shape. And man, they are hot! Matt kicked the shit out of his drums, as some sort of insane Viking. He also sang great background vocals and constantly smiled at the crowd. Duff totally rocked the place. You could see how bonded he is to Matt, Scott and Slash. He teased the crowd, posed a couple of times when he saw cameras and gave his picks right in the hand of a couple of lucky bastards (Slash did that too). Slash was just awesome. He definitely is my rock god. He wore chaps and looked amazingly cool. His solos were stounding. I can't find the words to describe how good he is. Dave was wild and totally impressive with his rhythm, effects and soloing. He fits perfectly in. I loved the solo battle he had with Slash. I must say that Scott blew my mind up. I read so many reviews saying that his voice was sometimes weak, that I was kind of anxious to see his performance. But he kicked major ass. His dancing was brilliant and he had killer moves with his airforce hat on. He's fucking shape and not as skinny as a couple of months ago. His energy is incredible and I assume he's pretty healthy, because he could definitely not perform with such raw energy if he was still on drugs. All their wifes were there, with a couple of strollers. I recognised Mary and Susan. I didn't see Perla though. So, back to the setlist. They started up with Sucker Train Blues with Slash on the Mockin'Bird. Everyone was immediately sucked in. They really looked like they were enjoying themselves. They carried on with Do It For The Kids, Headspace and Spectacle. Then Crackerman and a great extended version of Illegal I Song, with a Duff solo in front of the stage, than Slash on the talk box in a Led Zeppelinish kind of intro and Scott on the maracas. Then Scott introduced Fall To Pieces as a song about love and drugs. After that they played Big Machine and Set Me Free with such fucking energy that the crowd came to its climax. For the first encore Slash had a triumphant return to the top hat and Scott said that he wanted to make clear that 'GN'R and STP were dead and in the grave' and that Velvet Revolver was alive and rocking, but along with that, he wanted to introduce a 'lovely friend of theirs'. And omg, guess who went onstage !! Izzy! The crowd went insane again and chanted 'Izzy' for a couple of minutes. They did Used To Love Her with Izzy on the lead vocals. Then they played 'It's So Easy' and there were 3 fucking amazing guitarists on the stage. Everyone yelled 'Why don't you just, fuck off!'.Then for the last encore they did Sex Type Thing and finished with a great extented version of Slither. They didn't play as many songs as in their last concerts probably because it was hot as hell. Scott said that is was 'as hot as in a wet pussy'. He pulled a kind of spanish type of fan in his hand and Slash kept going back and forth to the fan he had on the side of the stage. Btw, the stage was so wet that both Slash and Duff slipped when going backstage. Another point is that the sound was pretty bad. Slash's guitar was a bit too quiet. During the first 45 minutes I was in front of the stage, right in the middle of the 5th row or something, but it was too damn hot so I went back and found a nice spot just in front of the sound boot. I sat on a fence and had a great point of view on the whole stage. The sound was better there too. The crowd was amazing. Everybody was just rocking out like there was no tomorrow. A couple of badasses thought funny to jump onstage but it was just lame and the security crushed them on the fences. Slash seemed very surprised to see those two jerks. The audience was so close to the band that someone almost grabbed Slashs LP and got kicked by him, but at the end of the song he gave him his pick. There was lots of crowd surfing too. After the show they all kindly signed photos and stuff, even Izzy.

Holy shit! I haven't felt that sort of excitement about a band for a veeeery long time. It was loud, heavy and sweaty rock n' roll. Kick ass and fucking amazing gig. Just can't wait to see them again.

Thanks to Philippe: Powerfull show, Scott was at his best, moving like Iggy Pop, maybe the reason why Slash wore a Stooges T-shirt! Scott said something like "Guns n' Roses and STP are definitely dead and Velvet Revolver is rising", then Izzy came on stage to play "Used to Love her" and "It's So Easy". He was greatly acclaimed by the public, scanding his name for minutes.

Thanks to JustinCase: Very good show. So cool to see Izzy with the band. The place was too damn hot! We were dying from the heat!!! I was just in front of Duff and Dave. The sound is so shitty in the Bataclan. Very good energy however from Slash, Duff and Matt who really seem to enjoy playing together. Dave apparently was high on something (or very tired) but was somewhere else. Scott was drunk and didn't communicate with the audience (3 sentences). Some out of tune singing too. There were some GNR banners and shirts in the audience so he said at one moment that GNR and STP were down in the grave and Velvet Revolver alive and kicking, right before introducing...Izzy. Cool to see him. Izzy didn't remember the lyrics of Used To Love Her but who cares. Dave looked resigned and sat near the drums (while playing) while Izzy was there. Quite like a spectator. Still, a very very good show with a lot of energy from the band and the audience.

Thanks to Jean-Georges Fisher: This band is great, absolutely great. They did a great show even if the heat of the room was horrible. Anyway, everyone seemed to be ok in good shape and health. I've been impress with the qulity of the sound. All the instruments were clear and well balanced, even if I think the Scott's voice was mixed too low. The whole concert was great and a special mention when Izzy came on stage. The crowd was crazy when he arrived and they started to play Used To Love Her. Even if I like very much Velvet Revolver I think the best moment of this gig is when they started to play 'It's So Easy" with Izzy. During this song Slash Duff and Izzy were close to each other like the old days. I could noticed some smiles in the face of these 3 guys whom seemed to be happy to be there playing this song. Izzy seemed to be very shy, maybe he was astonished by the warm acclaim of the listeners. I hope to get a chance to see them again!!

Thanks to Olivier_WDM: I was disappointed that they didn't play Negative Creep but we had Izzy twice ! And it was real hot in the place! The sound was not too good, we can't hear Scoot and Duff's bass almost always. This was too loud I think. The crowd was entirely devoted to ex-GNR stars and songs. The musicians were at their best. Scott style of singing and dancing is pretty individual, he looks at nothing, his eyes are fixed in the air, that is strange. His voice is not really adapted for live shows, he hasn't got any power or range. Not like Matt who hurts his snare & drums like Thor with his Hammer! Dave was really kind to be most of the time besides the others. Except Scott, they were all smiling, that's great to see they are happy and pretty complete in their lives.

Thanks to Olivson Rose: I am back from the French show of Velvet Revolver. It was amazing. The set list was the same as usual but there was a big surprise. Mr. Izzy Stradlin was on stage and he played Used To Love Her and It's So Easy. Izzy was surprised by the French crowd because everybody was so happy to see him with Slash and Duff. Scott said before Used To Love Her that Guns N' Roses is in the grave and Velvet Revolver is alive. Tonight it was true.
