Thanks to Christina: It was great to see them live although it was very hot the music was so loud that sometimes I couldn't recognize the songs; it was almost noise more than music. The best for me was the stick that Matt gave to me :P

Thanks to Tanit Giner: The Velvet Revolver's concert in Barcelona was fine, but it started 30 minutes late. They started with the song Sucker Train Blues, and continued with Do it for kids, Big Machine, Illegal i song and Spectacle. One of the most special moments was went they played Fall To Pieces because was a very emotional moment, the other special moment was went Izzy Stradlin played with them It's so easy and Used to love her, for me was very special because Izzy was one of my favourite members of Guns n'Roses but I hadn't seen him playing in a concert, because when he was in Guns n'Roses I was too young. Set Me free and Slither were the best ones for all people.

Thanks to Zesotar: Ok. Two days before the show I had the notice that one radio program was going to give 4 VIP passes if you send the tickets scanned. I send the ticket and the same day, in Madrid I call to my girlfriend to check my e-mail. She called me 5 minutes after. And give me one telephone number. I call and a woman (who go with the band in Madrid and here, Marisol) told me that I won the fucking VIP pass.

After eating and buying some cds, we (a friend and me) went to the venue Razzmatazz. There was few people waiting in the queue, and we saw 3 of the Backyard Babies boys and the drummer teching in the street!!! We received a call from the people of the program and they told me that I have to go to the back part of the venue at 20:00. I was very nervous waiting and waiting the man that we (about 10 very nice people) followed was calling in the cell every time. Finally we went to the main gate and waited again, Backyard Babies started the show, "Fuck I wanna see them, but don't worry tomorrow I can...." waiting...a van parked quickly. I only heard the screams of a group of girls, they told me that Dave and Duff were on the van and then went inside the roomshow. Waitin and waiting, the man we followed told us that we have to wait till the whole band was inside. I recogniced songs of the Backyard Babies show and I hear the people screaming in every song´s end.

Finally the same van came again and Matt Sorum, Slash and Perla were there. Slash and Perla went inside and Matt salute to us and followed Slash´s family. I was almost crazy, nervous and many more things. Finally Marisol, tell us that we could go inside and wait till the band come to us. We went inside and waited. A bold man seated was there with an electronic machine, doing his things, I look to that man..... I crouched and I recognized that man. It was Dave, and I said to him "Dave sign me please"; he signed me and another guy with us gave something to Dave to sign, the rest of people ignored him. I asked him "Izzy will be here tonight" and he told me "maybe" and went inside the backstage. Later Slash, Duff, Dave and Matt came with us, I gave the edding to Matt, he signed me and I asked him if they were going to play Mr. Brownstone, he told me that maybe, nobody know. Matt stole my edding and I run to Slash to ask him an authograph and take a photo with him, I was with God taking a Photo!! Incredible!!! Then Duff signed me and he took a photo with me. People ignored Dave. I feel very sad because of that, he's another member of the band and the fuckin man. We went inside the venue, I lost my friends but the people were very nice, I talked with many guys. AC/DC was the last band in the amplifiers. The lights fade out, people start screaming, Matt came and aimed to us with a center light, screams louder, Duff came to the front of the scene, and started to play Sucker Train Blues, the light fade in, and the whole band was there, Scott was looking at the back of the stage, and when the intro went to the main riff the lights blinked as flashes and madness began. Sucker Train Blues shocked me;Scott saluted to us, how are you Barcelona!!!! We are Velvet Revolver!!!! Do It For The Kids began and the whole crew were jumping. Spectacle was superb. In Crackerman many STP fans start screaming and the crew react well to that song. Ilegal I song with the talk box solo and Big Machine all the crew jumping again. Fall to pieces very good each day I like more and more this song. In this 3 songs I take a little break, stop jumping because the rest of the songs were fucking classics. Set Me Free I sang this song with my whole soul and jumping embraced my friend, fucking good, but in the solos Dave and Slash were confused, the two playing the same riff and nobody doing the solo, both they smiled. They went to the backstage, and my friend and I start screaming Izzy Izzy, people look at us stranged, we were very excited. The band minus Slahs came to scene and Scott in the mic, watching towards said: We have a guest, probably you may recognized him. Mr. Izzy Stradlin!!! Slash and Izzy came to the scene and the public start screaming until more not being able. Izzy was there. They play Used to love her, I take photos and sang like all the public the complete song. The song ended and the crew screamed: Izzy Izzy!!!!! It´s So Easy began and the crew went nuts, mad and crazy me too, I lost my friend. Fuck 90% of Guns N roses playing It's So Easy!!! And Slash doing solos like Satan!!! Too much for my body. Izzy said. Thank you and went out of the scene. I didn't like Slither very much I don´t know why, Sex Type Thing was good. And Negative Creep fucking good, Dave blow up this song, he is the man, Scott threw himself to the public. All the song was a madness.

And this is the end of my first contact with Velvet Revolver.

Thanks to Fernando Zetina: The Backyard Babies opened the show at 8:45 or 9:00 at the Barcelona Razzmatazz, they played like 35 minutes and they was ok. The main show was awesome, Velvet Revolver showed up half an hour late, but it really worth the 35? I 've paid for my ticket. The set list was the same as in the previous shows in other cities. The place is so small (only for 2000 people) and it was so crowded that even before the show started I was sweating like if I had climbed the K2. Scott was wearing an Iggy Pop and the Stooges T-Shirt, tight and shining Silver Pants and sun glasses; Slash was wearing his classics black leather pants and a sleeveless Dracula t-shirt. I was on the 8 road and during the first three songs, the crowd took me from the 8 to the second road and from left to right. I took like 23 pictures in this period of time and none of them was focused because of the pushes. In the rest of the show I was able to take like 100 or more pictures, I`ll send you some of them. In this show Izzy Stradlin also made his appearance in the two GNR covers, but his aspect was really different from the Izzy I remember from his GNR years. I think the crowd really enjoyed the show, I also did it. I had seen Scott before playing with STP at the 101 KUFO rock festival in Portland, Oregon but I never had the opportunity to watch a GNR concert. I missed the two opportunities I had to see them playing when I was living in Mexico. My favorite concert songs were Headspace and Sucker Train Blues and also the STP covers Crackerman an Sex Type Thing. The climax of the show I think it was almost at the end of the show when Scott Weiland jump into the crowd. It took like 3 minutes for his bodyguards to grab him up to the scenario again and it was really funny watching the body guard trying to stop Scott to jump back again. He grab him with his right arm and with his right shoulder like if he was going to tackle Weiland and Scott was kind of "flying" in his shoulders. My final comment is that Velvet Revolver really covered my spectatives and I hope to see them again somewhere else....

Thanks to Sopranobcn: Amazing show, just one word: Izzy. Thanks for this two great tunes: Used To Love Her & It's So Easy. Watching the stage makes me remember of the good old days.

Thanks to Hindrix: Well, last night on Barcelona Velvet Revolver played with a lot of energy, Scott Weiland was on his best moment.
In my opinion, there was two problems: the general sound was so bad and I can't hear clearly Slash cause the bass and drums sounded high. Then, the duration of the show: 1 hour and 10 minutes is a little poor, I think, because Velvet Revolver can play and demostrate us that they can be the best hard-rock band in this world!!!! Bye friends.

Thanks to JFL: The show was absolutely amazing and fabulous! The band is incredible! I had my heart in my mouth all along the show. My dream came true! I hope to see them once again in my life !

Thanks to Luiggi: Amazing show, one of the best show I have ever seen. Great song list, great crowd, there's sold out, some people paid 100 euros to see the show. The people claimed so much Big Machine, the band will think about this songs as a new single cause the people sang this song very hard. One of the best song in live without doubt is Headsapce sounded 10 times better than on the album and this is so great for the fans. I have met Slash, Duff, Dave and Matt. Matt and Duff were so so so sweet with me but the greates moment was when Izzy Stradlin came on stage, the people were crazy shouting Izzy!!!! Finally, Negative Creep a great cover to hear in live, end the show the people were as happy as I stated to see a truly rock n roll show. Thanks for reading this shit. Hope to see you again. Love to Scott, Duff, Matt, Slash, Dave and Izzy (thanks for show up Iz we miss you).

Thanks to Edwin: I went with my girlfriend and a colleague from my work the the best show of my life it was great.... they tottaly rocked.

The opening act whas not really my thing one or 2 song but I couldn't listen to a whole concert of them... but they did their best and some of the crowd knew there song because some of them were singing word by word. When they left, the crew cleaned everything up and worked a bit on Matt's drums and Slash and Dave's guitars and Duff's bass.... and then finally the light went out and Matt came out with a flashlight and he was shining in the crowd.

And then they began with Sucker Train Blues... it was just amazing to see them this was my first time that I have seen them live and I was sitting upstairs like a balcony (thanx to my girlfriend) and we could see everything really well.

Scott is an amazing performer.... and singer in the concert I think he had a problem with his earplugs or something.. I think it was because of the music that was really loud. And in the end he jumped into the crowd that was amazing to see but of course I didn't have a camera so I just hope some of the pictures will come on the internet! And on this site...

It was great to see Duff and Slash (I am a Duff fan) they really interact with the crowd and that was nice to see I have the feeling there really down to earth and they really treat their fans good. And Dave... at first I had to get a bit used to him but now seeing him live he fits perfectly and of course Matt is Matt he didn't change one bit since I have seen some of Guns on tape live..

Of course it was fun to see Izzy there, he looks very normal I don't think he would have been the right guy for Velvet Revolver...but like I said it's was nice to see him... but for me it would have been more fun if it was Gilby because U was a fan of Guns when Izzy just left.

Well, it wil not be my last concert of them I am sure of that...I can't wait until they come back!

Thanxs Velvet Revolver for a great night!

Thanks to DG: Just got back from the Velvet Revolver show in Barcelona, which ended about an hour ago. The whole thing rocked from start to finish, surpassing my already high expectations.

The show took place in a mid-sized club called Razzmatazz; the whole place was packed since they opened the doors at 8:45, and The Backyard Babies got things started getting a great reaction for an opening act. It was clear that the audience was hungry for hard rock, a fact also demonstrated by the way a lot of people chanted along to the songs that came through the PA while we waited for the ten o'clock start time: AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters...

The band started slightly late but all was forgiven as they tore into Sucker Train Blues. All the songs from Contraband got a great reaction, with people singing along to most lyrics as if they were old favorites. A very positive sign for a band composed of 'has-beens', a minor miracle, in fact. I've been to lots of concerts where 'the new stuff' gets a polite silence while the crowd waits for the old favorites to start dropping. Not the case here, but...

What I hoped would happen but didn't dare to wish did happen: Izzy Stradlin', the man, the legend, comes out and plays on Used To Love Her and It's So Easy. The crowd goes nuts at this and no wonder. I've been living with this songs for half my life and all of a sudden there they were: three thirds of the original Appetite for Destruction lineup. There were three times more original Gunners on that stage than there are in Guns N' Roses now, for God's sake. And even Matt Sorum was there, for that Use Your Illusion 'flava'.

It's So Easy was the high point, with the crowd moshing wildly and at the same tripping on the (for many) unexpected deja vu of the whole thing. Then Izzy left, and the band tore into Sex Type Thing, which is great, but my head was still reeling from the Izzy Stradlin' bonus.

In fact, it was so intense that the crowd was pretty drained by this point. It was hot in the club and the whole thing had been a jump-up-and-down and scream your lungs out affair from the start. So then Slither and then Negative creep, with Scott Weiland jumping into the crowd and causing mayhem for the security guards.

All in all a great show. The only song that seemed to puzzle a good part of the audience was Crackerman, as Stone Temple Pilots were never too big in Spain.
