Thanks to Matt P: This show was fucking incredible. They came out to Sucker Train Blues which is a perfect song to start out with..I finally got to see Slash play live and he kicked ass, not to mention the always incredible Scott Weiland. Definitely going to see them again when they come to New York in April...Velvet Revolver is carrying the torch for Rock N' Roll. Velvet FUCKING Revolver!!!

Thanks to Brent: Being a long time GnR fan, I was more than excited when I found I would be able to go see my idol, Slash. This show was amazing. My only complaint was the wait between the Exies and Velvet Revolver. It seemed to just drag on for hours ( it wasn't really, I think it was only an hour) but I was so anxious to see them, that time seemed to slow down. Eagles chants were plentiful (duh, it's Philly) and Scott put on an amazing show, which surprised me. There was one thing I noticed during Slither that I didn't see anyone else mention, someone had thrown a water bottle on stage and hit the neck of Slash's Les Paul. That made me mad because Slash, like I said, is my idol. This was the best show I have ever seen and will always be my favorite.

Thanks to Todd Richman: Being a long-time diehard G'NR fan and also STP, when I heard about this band in late 2003, I was excited to say the least. I had never seen Slash live before this show - I missed the December 1991 shows at the Spectrum due to a final in school. I am also a pro guitarist who admires, idolizes and plays similar style to Slash (I also have the same gear). This show was perfect. I was off to the side about 20 feet from stage right and the entire show was amazing. The sound was fairly good considering it is the old Spectrum. It was a little hard to hear Slash's solos distinctly but overall good sound. I would love to see this band play a 3 hour show-they are that good. I cannot wait for the next album and continued success to the greatest band out there - thanks for saving Rock and Roll.

Thanks to Tomme: This show fucking rocked. I fought my way for almost an hour to get closer to the stage. Everyone went into a huge frenzy when Slash did some riffs of Patience but then did a different song. Oh well it was an amazing show and my favorite I've ever been to. Scott is so much better than that pussy Axl.

Thanks to Hannah: The concert was great. The opening band, The Exies, were awesome and their CD rocks along with! Velvet Revolver was just incredible, especially Slash. Dave kinda did his own thing, while Matt was just like smiley the whole time - Duff had the funniest face on as if it was life or death. And Scott can just really take on an audience! It was amazing!

Thanks to stp426: What can I say, another great show in Phila, first being at the Electric Factory back in May in the front row which was awesome, but this show I think was better, Scott definitely commanded the crowd during Sex type Thing, he had everyone raising and lowering their arms together just like at an STP show...the sound was alot better than at the Factory also. Another highlight was Crackerman of course and Superhuman. The place was absolutely crazy!! Can't wait until they roll into town again and I hope they add You got No right to the set list. It's nice to see Scott and the rest of Velvet Revolver happy and the band totally shows that in their stage presence. Rock and Fuckin' Roll!!!

Thanks to Ryan K. Smith: Words cannot explain the energy of Velvet Revolver. This was the third show that I have seen them at. They have become so much more comfortable and exciting on stage than the first time I saw them. I'm so glad that these musicians are back on top making great music, thank you to them. And I would like to thank the person who runs this site, the info is always on time and accurate and by far the best site I've ever seen for a band. Velvet Revolver rocks and I can't wait to see them again.

Thanks to Mary Deming: It was awesome! Esp how they came back for an encore and what got started was when Sex Type Thing was sung!! There was alot of GNR fans there, but amazing!! I had close seats now knowing there was GA..but it was still cool!! Seeing Velvet Revolver is awesome live! See them if you can!! Its amazing!!

Thanks to Alyssa: After waiting a whole year, I was finally able to see Velvet Revolver. And it was so worth the wait ... plus more! My friend Danielle and I didn't wear a jacket in, so we were freezing! But we really didn't care.

Our spot was incredible, and I was about 10 feet away from Scott Weiland. And the image of him with no shirt on, screaming into the megaphone, will forever be etched in my memory. By far,"Sex Type Thing," "Set Me Free," "Slither" and "Used to Love Her" were the best. The whole show was intense. I can't wait for them to come back to Philly again! If you can, go see Velvet Revolver - you won't regret it!

Thanks to Kyle G: This was only my 2nd ever concert, but if all of them were like this one I'd go a hell of a lot more often.

The whole show was amazing (after the band finally got on stage, that is). My personal favorites were Headspace, Superhuman, Set Me Free and Slither, but once again all the shows rocked.

All-in-all awesome show, definitely a must-see.

Thanks to tara: I will always say the boys are fabulous! What a stage presence by Scott Weiland, but I must say that the sound system there was not too great, I had the same experience w/ Pearl Jam at the same venue.

This was my fourth time seeing them and I have not seen Scott interact w/ the crowd like that once except for last night. What energy that comes out of them! Unbelievable! The show was great.

Thanks to americancracka: Great show with out a doubt. How about Slash and that whole Peter Frampton deal he did...God was I blown away! I don't remember other reviewers talking about this? I believe I was the first crowd surfer at the show. Went up on Slash's side around the 3rd song. I was the tall goober with the blue bandana. The band has soooo much energy and Scott was a complete mad man. I was so drained 1/2 way thru the show all I could do was stand there and take it all in. I see Scott put a red scarf over his hat...and Slash looked kick ass with his dripping hair, top hat and smokin. Duff looked like Garth with his oversized bandana...sorry Duff luva's. Strobe lights were a bit excessive as well. Don't get me wrong...the show was A1 amazing. Just wanted to post a few things other than the same old kissin ass remarks. I didn't hear anyone talk about what the next single will be as noted in another post for an earlier show.

And yes there were many Eagles chants...what would a public event with philly drunks be if there weren't eagles chants? Go Flyers!!!!

I had seen Velvet Revolver on the original club tour, at the 9:30 club in D.C. and even though an Arena show could never top the intimacy of a club venue, this came pretty damn close. First off, the band is so tight now...they were tight in May, but now they are definitely a machine...the setlist was a little different than in May, no Negative Creep or You've Got No Right, but they played Superhuman which was incredible and that wasn't in the set last time. Of course they also played the Aerosmith song No More, No More, which was cool, even though I'm unfamiliar with it (never been into Aerosmith). I was hoping for "I Wanna Be Sedated" personally, but I am totally and completely satisfied none-the-less. My first time seeing a show in Philly, I always go to D.C., but this was a blessing in disguise. A quick ride with no traffic (compared to D.C.), right off 95, great hotel (met Freddy the bassist from the Exies in the elevator as a matter of fact, great guy...). Anyway, to rap this up, Velvet Revolver own any venue they play and to my surprise they had almost 20,000 people there probably and everyone was way into the show... knowing all the words to all the songs...Philly was a great crowd. (*Side note- Call me stupid, but I always wondered & never knew that "Illegal I" song is really "Illegal Immigrant" song... gotta love the Political correctness ;-) Peace!!!!

Thanks to DieHardFan: I'd waited the better part of 14 years to see the likes of Duff, Slash, and Matt and they did not disappoint!! Simply amazing.. that's all I can say. One thing that impressed me that few people have mentioned is Dave's enthusiasm and what he brings to the band. The entire show he was rockin out and is a great compliment to Duff and Slash. Can't say enough about the show that these guys put on.. will definitely see them after they're back from England. Thanks for making this fan so happy.

Thanks to D. Clinton: They were awesome!!! Maybe the best concert I've ever seen. This was much appreciated after Axl screwed us over on Dec. 6th last year, when he was too busy shooting up and watching the Lakers game to attend the concert and a riot broke out. He is an asshole. But Scott Weiland is making everyone forget who Axl even is. They were unbelievable, so much energy and they sounded tight. Go see them..please come out with another album.

Thanks to Robin Rosen: I attended the show at the Wachovia Spectrum on Wednesday and brought 2 of my sons. One is eleven and one is fourteen. I have never been more disappointed. Not only was the band an hour and a half late, but the sound system was a mess. I am a long time Guns N' Roses and Stone Temple Pilots fan, but when we got into Velvet Revolver, we were delighted with the long awaited new talent. At the concert, everything seemed off (if you know what I mean). We expected a lot more from a live show, especially from Slash and Scott Weiland. What happened? Still a fan, but sad!

Thanks to Mannie Montalbano: This show was absolutely amazing, not only did Velvet Revolver play almost every song from their album but also the GN'R songs were great and the STP songs, Scott did an excellent job singing the Gunner tunes. It was a shock that they played Superhuman, a song I always wanted to hear since this was the third time I saw them, awesome. Slash was amazing like always, he kicked but on all his solos and the Aerosmith cover song was great even though I never heard it before. I always wanted to see Gn'R live but never did because I was too young, I did see STP in 2001 and Scott had so much more energy with Velvet Revolver, which he better fits in with. Scott is incredible live and there is no concert experience like Velvet Revolver, thanx for the music guys.

Thanks to Amy: The concert was awesome and it was great that they could play some STP and GNR for the longtime fans. I think this band has an awesome sound and I am glad that I got a chance to see them!

Thanks to Jay P.: Even though the band went on about 45 minutes late and Scott's voice was a little raspy on the first song (Sucker Train Blues) they kicked ass! The band (and Scott) got better & better after each song. By the end I was hoping for more! The crowd was totally into it and was rockin' from begining to end. They also did an excellent cover of Aerosmith's "No More No More", which was a great surprise. I've seen Velvet Revolver live before at smaller venues and I think they need to increase their overall production for the arenas they are now playing, for the best live rock n' roll experience ever!!

Thanks to Jake M: Oh my god!!!!! I have never been to such a good show. The most unexpected part of the concert was the band playing stuff from their former bands. It was amazing, my eyes were glued on Scott Weiland. Matt was amazing on drums, he was really cool and really in touch with the crowd. And don't even get me started on Slash, he is a God!!!! Dave and Duff were really awesome. They played great, wow, what an amazing show, nice lighting and they sounded amazing live. I suggest you definetly go see them.

Thanks to Mike: Being the second time seeing Velvet Revolver I must say this band fucking rocks out. This band should have had Scott Weiland from day one. He acknowldges the talent around him and makes the show even better. The band is worth every dollar you spend at the show and for the ticket. Anyone who doubts it don't it's worth it.

Thanks to w. axl madel: The show was absolutely ridiculous - it was a struggle, but I was able to get dead center in the pit. Scott, Duff, Slash, and Dave made it well worth my efforts by showing me some love while they jammed hard.

Thanks to Roxy Freefall and Grunge: As it was at the Starland Ballroom, Velvet Revolver outdid themselves yet again and took no prisoners. Bone weary, we took the hike from North Central New Jersey to the Spectrum and it was well worth the traffic and 30 degree weather. The set list was the same as the past few shows and it was a blistering hour and a half of pure rock at its finest. To pick a highlight or our favorite part at this show is difficult because the whole thing was spectacular. The band was tight and each member sounded as awesome as anyone would expect from a band of that caliber.

Two differences, though, from the Starland Ballroom that we both thought were amazing were, 1: they added Superhuman to the set, which is a fantastic addition and 2: the cover of No More, No More where Scott just sounded amazing. Velvet Revolver also managed to find a way to tease us yet again just like at the Starland show and we are assuming, every show. During the first encore, right before Used to Love Her, Slash started playing some riffs of Patience. Just as we were about to go ballistic, Used to Love Her began and we just smiled at each other and shook our heads because we should have known, after Matt's tease of You Could be Mine (which he did again...) you never know what to expect.

Again... another fantastic show and a great time. Thank you Velvet Revolver for bringing rock back to us, the way it should be.
