Thanks to Steve Miller: The show was fantastic. We felt so lucky to see the band again in an even smaller venue then we did in May - especially since the guys are playing arenas now. Overall it was a kick ass show and the tickets were not easy to get coming in from out of state being it was a local promotion and all. Took a whole roll of film from the front row that looks great and got drum sticks, guitar pics and a set list. What more could you ask for? The sound was much better this time around. If you wanted to pick at it with a microscope the only thing I could say is that the band looked as if they were working so hard - they looked drained toward the end. Probably because they are touring so much now. But no complaints from me because they were fantastic. Awesome to see Superhuman! After the show the band did sign some stuff before they boarded the bus which was very cool of them to do out in the cold like that. The only thing is that the people acted like animals and mobbed them which wasn't cool at all. I'm sure they would have hung out longer if it wasn't for that. Matt was in the bar next door and shook our hand and signed our stuff too. Thanks guys for another great show - play Cleveland or Pittsburgh next time!

Thanks to Kim: Small venue...huge show! What a cool place to see a concert. The place was packed -- everyone was so into the show. I hope the guys liked playing there, too. Scott was amazing...they were all amazing! They have such an awesome sound and are truly great together!!!

Thanks to Jake: This show was a rare one for this tour. In looking through this site, looking over the previous show reviews and set lists to get fired up to the Detroit show Nov 23rd (an awesome tailgate-esq-like-warm-up for the biggest bar night of the year), I noticed that Velvet Revolver was playing huge venues prior to this show and after. I realized their club warmups to create the buzz was long gone and this was their big tour to support the album, Detroit Rock City got the previlige of the small venue version of this monster band's big tour. As my main man Ali G would say:"respect, snap!"

Thanks Velvet Revolver, what a special gift to get this holiday season. Great energy. Great showman ship, even through the technical difficulty (briefly), great set, great time, thanks again. I gotta go now, must hang this ticket stub on my concert wall of fame,...peace.

Thanks to Dave Fredenberg: First four or five songs rocked! Then began some extended set (solos and the like) play which I didn't like. Audience was getting a little bored. Then they went off stage. I thought it was over and it should have been, since they only came back to play Used to Love Her and Slither. They did not play Mr. Brownstone. Very disappointing ending. They are a great band, but play selection should be better.

Thanks to Jeff: Excellent show! This is the 3rd time I've seen Velvet Revolver and they've been awesome each time. I wish they could have played longer. The crowd was relatively well behaved, except for a plastic bottle that was thrown at the Datsun's.

Thanks to Dave C: The opening act, the Datsuns, were great! Nice '70s era guitars. Much better than the Silvertide opener in May. Then Velvet Revolver hit the stage at 10pm & ripped into Sucker Train Blues. Women were everywhere; I love the Motor City ... hey Doreice & Kelly are you guys really kissin cousins? And hey Scott - nice touch with the bullhorn. I challenge anyone to repeat any F***ing word he said into that bullhorn. And Weiland beats Axl any time. "We're the only band that goes from a love song to a drug song". Keep rockin Velvet Revolver & don't forget the motor city!

Thanks to Eric: I know the band will never read this message but here goes. Ok first of all I won tickets to see Velvet Revolver play at the Emerald Ballroom for the Nov 23rd show it was a great show. I never actully expected to hear GNR or STP songs but I guess that's a given and I would not have been disappointed if they decided not to play those songs, in fact I would have loved to just hear all of the new album. But what ever it still was one hell of a rock n roll show. Everyone looked real strong and healthy and we all saw that in their performance (most excellent). I also want to add that there is a real hunger for this music again thank god, especially in Detroit. I don't care what these gossiping rock critics say, what the hell do they know anyway. Thanks guys for a kickass album, live show and not fading away. There is something definitaly good happening with this band and I could tell straight away that this is a great mix of musicians (good vibes). Looking forward to the next album/tour. Oh the Datsuns fucking rocked big time...wow.

Thanks to Lynn: One word: Awesome!!! They rocked!!! Excellent show. Scott Weiland is the perfect frontman for these guys. Matt, Duff & Dave are absolutely great and Slash, well.....there's no words. His playing is incredible. The only complaint I would have is the show was just too short - only an hour long. Not long enough... but, it was well worth it and I will go see them again when they come back through this area.

Thanks to August: Thanks to the hockey strike, Miller Beer had an extra 150K laying around to pay for Velvet Revolver to play this show for free. That's right, 1200 seat theater, tickets were free from Miller, WRIF radio or knowing somebody. I scammed my way in and loved every minute of it. Scott was pure rock God up there, rocking the silver pants and German army officer hat. I can't imagine seeing them in a huge arena venue, big band in a small club is the only way to go. Totally spoiled now. Matt even hung out with us at the local corner bar Johnny G's after the show!

Thanks to Dave: Awesome show. The Theatre was sold out and full of energy. The Datsuns were cool and played a great set. When Velvet Revolver came on, everyone was out of control. Every song was awesome. The set list was Sucker Train Blues, Do It For The Kids, Headspace, Crackerman, Superhuman, It's so Easy, Big Machine, Fall to Pieces, Sex Type Thing, Set me Free, Used to Love and Slither (the order may be off a little). The highlights were Headspace, the extended Illegal I, the extended Set Me Free, Sex Type Thing, It's so Easy, and Slither. Slash was offered a beer from the crowd and he accepted. He thanked Miller Beer for a quality product. Scott has the megaphone going all night which seemed to pump up the crowd even more. There were 2 songs that everyone was waiting for that weren't played: No More, No More and Mr Brownstone. Overall I would rate the show a 10/10, easily the best concert of 2004 and possibly the millennium.

Thanks to John: This was a great show!!!! I drove 500 miles to get there, but it was worth it!! It was crowded though. The opening band The Datsuns were great also!!

Thanks to D Palm: This was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Scott has not lost any of his showmanship while fighting his demons. His voice was right on and the band could not have sounded any better. I can't wait for them to come back to Detroit.
