Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver, Evanecense, Los Ratones Paranoicos, Turf.

Eran las 10 y media de la mañana del domingo 15 de Abril. Suena el despertador del celular. Abro un ojo y no podía creer que el día había llegado. Desde el 29 de Enero a las 10 de la mañana rogaba porque ese día llegue: tocaban Aerosmith y Velvet Revolver en el Monumental. La sola idea de levantarte y saber que ese día ibas a ver a Steven Tyler y a Slash en vivo era maravillosa.
Luego de comerme unas TREMENDAS milanesas hechas por mi vieja, un amigo de mi hermano toca el timbre y salimos para Nuñez.
Cuando llegamos la cola nos desanimó un poco. Cinco o seis cuadras de cola para entrar. La primera hora de cola fue horrible: no avanzamos nada; pensabamos que entrabamos en Junio al estadio. Pero luego de esa primera hora, la fila comenzó a avanzar rápido y el otra hora más estuvimos adentro.
Entrar a un estadio tan grande, repleto de gente, un escenario espectacular era bastante emocionante.
Lo primero que hicimos fué tratar de ubicarnos bien: avanzamos hasta unos 10 metros del escenario. Empezaban Los Ratones Paranoicos.
El comienzo fué bastante frío, desconectado del público, salvo de unos cuantos entre la multitudo que nos arengaban a todos al saltar, y nos acusaban de "no tener aguante, vieja!".
Sobre mediados del show la gente se entró a copar más con Los Ratones durante "El Rock Del Pedazo", y el show tomó un poco más de calidez.
Juanse, muy profesional y acertadamente le dice a la multitud "Vamos a hacerlo rápido", y el público aplaude.
El show de Los Ratones termina con Juanse trepado en el escenario, "nadando" en la pasarella. Muy carismatico. Logra que el espectáculo termine de una manera más cercana al público de la que empezó.
El cielo ya se estaba poniendo oscuro. Las bandas más esteradas estaban cada segundo más cerca y la paciencia comenzaba a ezcasear.
Logro, junto a mi hermano y su amigo colarnos hasta unos 5 metros del escenario.
Los momentos previos a Evanecense, del lado derecho del escenario eran desesperantes. La banda no tardó mucho en salir, pero ya los fans de la banda de Amy Lee y los fans de Velvet Revolver y Aerosmith peleaban por un lugar cerca del escenario.
Las olas humanas, los empujones, las puteadas no se hicieron esperar. La tension aumentaba. La impaciencia era cada vez mayor.
Varios a mi alrrededor, y al igual que yo, queríamos a Slash y a los suyos sobre el escenario de una vez. Pero había quienes lo hacían publico con cantos tipo "Olé; olé, olé, olé! Velvet! Velvet!", ó "Qué salga Velvet la puta que los parió!".
De repente se apagan las luces y comienza Evanecense a hacerse dueño del escenario. Amy Lee sale con mucha pasión y energía al escenario.
La verdad que el repertorio de Evanecense, salvo sus hits, no los disfruté mucho. Estaba desesperado por ver una melena enrrulada con su galera y una Gibson Les Paul subiendo al escenario. Y no era el único. Tanto que, como la vez pasada, otros lo hacían publico con los mismos cantos ó insultos hacia Evanecense y sus miembros, no por su performance, sino producto de su desesperación.
Amy Lee pergunta al publico "Quieren oir a Velvet Revolver?!" y alrrededor mio se esucha una ovacion enorme. "Quieren oir a Aerosmith?!". Otra enorme ovacion. "Quieren oir otra canción nuestra?!". Y los "Si!!!" de muchas quinceañeras desesperadas se mezclaban con los insultos hacia la banda, los simples "No!" y los roces entre los distintos publicos se hacían más notorios e incómodos.
Evanecense seguía rockeando en el escenario con una calidad impresionante. Solo admirada por los que estabamos frente a ellos por compartir una fecha cuando, luego del show, uno se pone a evaluar en frio la performance de los grupos. Amy Lee daba la impresion de estar haciendo Play Back de lo excelente que cató cada uno de los temas de su banda.
Los gritos, lágrimas y llantos de las adolescentes que estaban alrrededor mío hacían parecer, si uno se tapaba los oidos, que uno estaba en un recital de Backstreet Boys.
Por fin, para "nosotros", termina el show de Evanecense. Con un guitarrista (el que estaba a la derecha del escenario -no se su nombre) que miraba al público de ese lado con cara de desconcierto.
Al fin había llegado la hora en que Velvet Revolver iba a subirse al escenario. Que el humo del cigarro de Slash se iba a teñir del color de la luz que elija el que maneje la luz, y el sueño de un montón de adolescentes que por edad no presenciaron a Guns N' Roses en ese mismo estadio 14 y 15 años atras.
Las mareas humanas se hacían cada vez más violentas y continuas. Las puteadas se sucedían más rapido. Las retiradas por ahogo más frecuentes.
En una maldita oleada humana alguien pisa la parte de adelante de mi zapatilla y subo el talón. Se me sale el talón de la zapatilla e inconsciente de esto tiro el pié hacia atras esperando sacar mi zapatilla de abajo de la de otro.
Cuando mi pié sale de su zapatilla ME QUISE MORIR!
Desesperadamente mir hacia abajo para recuperar mi zapatilla.
Otra marea humana hacia atras me hace perder las esperanzas y mi calzado. Quedé descalzo del pié izquierdo. Igual decidí quedarme.
Desistí cuando el ahogo era insoportable, los pisotones EXCLUSIVAMENTE a mi pie desprotegido fueron demasiado.
Era imposible salir. La gente te empujaba hacia adelante. La desesperación y el dolor en mi castigado dedo gordo del pié no me dejaban respirar casi.
Llegué hasta un Cocacolero y luego de esperar la reposición compro una Coca.
La voracidad que tuve al tomarla me sorprendió a mi mismo. NUNCA había sentido tanta necesidad por hidratarme.
Estaba un poco desepcionado, de mal humor. No podía creer que JUSTO antes de Velvet Revolver, antes de que mi idolo Slash salier al escenario esta mierda no me dejara estar cerca.
Decidí acercarme lo más posible. Hasta donde los pisotones no fueran TAN frecuentes y el ascinamiento no fuera asesino.
Esperé mucho tiempo. O por lo menos eso era lo que me decía mi impaciencia. Era muy densa la espera, con mucha espectativa.
La gente estaba loca. Gritaba para que Velvet Revolver entre de una vez.
De repente se empieza a escuchar sonidos de una Les Paul muteada y la gente se vuelve loca. Los gritos ensordecen.
Los sonidos de "prueba" se siguen sucediendo. La gente se desespera. No puede esperar más.
De repente una guitarra criolla comienza a sonar como introduccion y la gente se desespera más. El Monumental era un hervidero.
La tension aumentaba termendamente. Los gritos era incontenibles.
"BUENOS AIRES!!!" grita una voz ronca y enormemente familiar. El entorno, lo que esperaba ver y esa voz que tanto había soñado escuchar alguna vez me transportaron por unos segundos al año 1992 y 1993 y la piel de gallina comenzaba a invadime como enfermedad.
VELVET - REVOLVER!!!" termina la voz y una batería se oye. La multitud explota. "Hey, hey, hey!!!" Al compas de la batería como ejercito. Scott Weiland se suma con un "olé; olé, olé, olé; Eo!, eo!", reemplazado por un enorme "Velveeeet!, Velveeet!" del público.
De las sombras aparece EL personaje. Slash se transfigura entre las sombras y las luces y salta al escenario como un Dios. el público explota. El momento en el que el idolo de muchos de nosotros apareció fue una puñalada al corazón. Lágrimas brotaban de todos lados. Era un momento muy emocionante.
"Do It For The Kids" toma por asalto el estadio y la gente responde emocionada y frenética. La banda se contagiaba del entusiasmo del público. "Let It Roll" sigió sin anestecia. Todos aparecían sorprendidos por este tema extraño. Pero a nadie le importó. El poder de Velvet Revovler dominaba todo.
De la misma manera llega "Sucker Train Blues". Una pandereta anunciaba lo que venía, pero la gente no estalló hasta que Duff, en un excelente estado fisico y anímico comineza con el bajo. Scott acciona el megáfono y las guitarras golpean duro con el comienzo del riff. La fiesta seguía.
La primer nostalgia de la noche aparecía para los fans de Stone Temple Pilots con "Crackerman", con una intro enmudecedora de Slash. La multitud ovaciona.
Se produce una pausa. Scott saluda al público y presenta "Fall To Pieces", las guitarras comienzan y el público se emociona. MI momento llega en el puente antes del solo. Cuando Scott pronuncia el "I'm falling!" que no voy a poder sacarme de la cabeza en mi vida y Slash se apodera del corazón de 70.000 personas con ese solo espectacular las lágrimas se me escaparon incontenibles. Fué definitivamente uno de los momentos más felices de mi vida.
Scott arenga a la multitud con un "Come On!, Come On!".
Y como una verdadera patada con verdaderas botas empieza la intro de "It's So Easy" y las lágrimas son reemplazadas por un inexplicable salvajismo por parte de todos. El estadio parecía una hoya a punto de hervor. "FUCK OFF!!!" se escucha y Slash se despacha con el clásico solo de "It's So Easy".
Termina el primer asalto a la nostalgia y comienza a escucharse un creciente "Guns - N' - Roses, Guns - N' - Roses". Y es que de verdad daba la sensación de tener a Guns N' Roses sobre el escenario.
Comienza "She Builds Quick Machines", otro desconocido, no tan bueno como "Let It Roll", pero nada importaba. Solo quedaba disfrutar. Muy recalcable el espectacular comienzao del solo de este tema.
Desde las sombras emerge un Slash con una SG Doubleneck y comienza a tocar "Wish You Were Here". La multitud se vuelve loca.
Scott y Slash comienzan a avanzar por la pasarella y quedan en primer plano. La letra comienza y el estadio entero canta.
El Dios de la guitarra comienza con un solo durante el tema de Pink Floyd y un "Slash!" de Scott hace estallar las manos de la multitud en un aplauso al idolo.
La paz se acaba y comienza "Set Me Free", el estadio vuelve a convertirse en una fogata y todos estallan, cantan, saltan al compas de Velvet Revovler.
Luego comienza una erratica version de "Sex Type Thing" para deleite de todos, y en especial de los fans de Stone Temple Pilots.
Un interín en el tema da el clima perfecto para despacharse con un mejor final de la canción. Acelerada y super poderosa termina la canción.
De la nada aparece "Mr Brownsrone" y el público vuelve a entoquecerse. La fiesta estaba comenzaba su final. Brownstone hizo cantar a todos. La locura, la nostalgia, la alegrá, todo se mezclaba e hizo tremendo el espectáculo.
Los "Guns - N' - Roses, Guns - N' - Roses" (y no precisamente por Robin Finck) comenzaron otra vez.
Comienza "Slither". La intro fue el encender la mecha de un cañón que se disparaba cuando empezaba la intro y en cada "HEY!" de Duff. Slash se despide con un solo que no deja duda que está en uno de sus mejores momentos de su relación con la guitarra.
Queda sonando la sierna del megáfono de Weiland. La multitud aplaude y agradece la demostración dada.
Sin palabras, y extaceados todo se descomprimen. Las miradas lo decían todo. Velvet Revolver voló la mente de todos. Puede que no haya sido el mejor show de su carrera ni mucho menos, pero por lo menos yo mejor, no la podría haberlo pasado. Y todo lo otro ME CHUPA UN HUEVO
Los Cocacoleros comenzaban a vender como locos.
Me re-encontré con mi hermano y su amigo en el campo. Nos sentamos y comenzamos a comentar lo genial del show cuando giro mi cabeza a la derecha y veo MILAGROSAMENTE mi zapatilla perdida en el bolsillo de otra persona, que tremendamente generoso la conservó por las dudas.
Mi zapatilla de vuelta en mi pié castigado me dio fuerzas para, al contrario de lo planeado, mandarme adelante en el show de Aerosmith que estaba por llegar.
Me tomó por sorpresa la intro. Amagues de temas enloquecían a todos.
"One!, Two!, Three!, Four!" grita la TREMENDA voz de Dios Tyler. "Love In The Elevator" me encontró lejos del escenario, pero me estimuló a avanzar.
Esta vez probé por el costado izquierdo del escenario.
Me metí cual auto en avenida, detras de una ENORME persona que avanzaba rápido. Transcurrieron una excelente version de "Toys In The Attic" y "Dude Looks Like A Lady".
Para "Fallin' In Love" ya estaba a 5 metros del escenario y a unas dos personas de la pasarella central. Era increible ver de cerca las arrugas de Tyler, y Perry. Y comprobar que más allá de todo, de su edad y excesos, está en un TREMENDO estado fisico.
Comienza errática y graciosa "Cryin'". La siguen "Crazy" y "Jaded". La multitud cantaba maravillada cada canción. Se veía gran conexión entre el público y un Steven Tyler que, a diferencia del resto ese mismo día del Festival, no le temió PARA NADA a la pasarella y la usó para conectarse intravenosamente con le público contagiandolo de todas las emociones.
Llegó el turno de Honkin' On Bobo con "Baby, Plase Don't Go" y una tremenda zapada durante "Stop Messin' Arround".
Una emocionante "Seasons Of Winter" sigue, con Perry y Tyler en sillas de madera en la punta de la pasarella, en el corazón del público.
"If you think it's over Dream On!" grita Steven Tyler y la multitud se vuelve loca. Lágrimas en muchos ojos. La Voz se para en la punta de la pasarella y comienza el SUPERCLÁSICO de Aerosmith. Excesivamente emotivo.
"Jaine's Got A Gun" comienza y el público canta a una sola voz, desde la entrada hasta el final.
Perry se despacha con una guitarra Doubleneck con una excelente "Livin' On The Edge". Pero las emociones vuelven con "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", y "Sweet Emotion" con un un Hamilton demasido cerca del público (una chica le agarró el bajo) le sigue.
"Draw The Line" termina el set con un Perry casticagdo a su guitarra en la punta de la pasarella con su camisa. Y la gente pedía más.
Una animación que recorre varios clásicos de Aerosmith es proyectada por la pantalla. La gente canta cada parte de los temas. En esa presentacion se puede ver a los miembros de Aerosmith "disfrazados" de Slash en una parte.
La noche se cierra con "Walk This Way" muy bailada.
Aerosmith presenta a cada uno de sus integrantes. Ovaciones especialmente grandes para Perry y Tyler.
Un tremendo show había acabado. Con gente subida al escenario y reprimida, fans besadas al costado del escenario, y lo más importante, 70.000 personas satisfechas, contentas y llenas de Rock n' Roll.
Así terminaba el Quilmes Rock 2007. Y uno de los mejores días de mi vida. A los cuales se les sumaría luego el día siguiente. Pero eso en otro review.

Thanks to Sebastian: Espere ver a VR desde que escuche el primer single Set Me Free en internet, y espere ver a Matt, Slash y Duff dede los 12 anos, simplemente gracias, fue una de las cosas mas emocionantes de mi vida, haste llore en algunas ocaciones, cosa que ni i esperaba que me pase. Que show mamita, que sonido, que puesta en escene, Scott 11 puntos, moviendose, cantando casi sin desafinar una puta nota, Matt haciendo sonar la bateria como solo el sabe, Duff con ese energia punk que incita, Dave arengando a full y Slash, sublime.

Me quedo con la imagen de Slash haciendo un solo arrodillado, Scott con el megafono en alto, Dave y Duff en la tarima de la bateria y Matt dandole durismo. Puro Rock, muchas gracias por esas 2 horas.

Thanks to Patricio Xpatox: Well, I went to the Quilmes Rock 07 fest. and to the Obras Stadium. So i want to say a few things, first the shows were awesome Scott it`s an amazing frontman, he knows how to turn on the people when he wants and how he wants,Dave you realy rocks man, Duff as always pure attitude, Matt i love you man always with the fans and full of energy, and Slash oh my oh my i love to see you playing, it`s like you were making love with the guitar, the way you hold it, playing it softly if you don`t want to hurt it but rockin like no one and always giveing to the fans what we want. The only thing that i wish is not to wait another 13 years to enjoy your shows. Please keep rocking, and i want picks. Hahahah.

Thanks to Mauricio Roa: It was an incredible and unique show, i was there with my guitar hero in front of me and i think that i will not forget this moment for a long, long time. I went on 92 and 93 to River Plate Stadium to see my idol and i was there again 14 years later and the magic was again in the air. Thanks Slash for the killer guitar melodies, and thanks Scott for being the frontman that you are. The Band Rocks BA for two nights and i am so glad for it.

The moment when the band Starts the two shows with Scott singing Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole (a soccer song released by the fans at the soccer stadiums in Argentina) was awesome. The Band was jokin and similing with the crow everytime. Slash smile to the photos that was taken by the fans at the show and many times he made the peace sign with his fingers. Thanks guys to come to my country i will never forget those shows.

Thanks to Laurita: Fue de lo mejor!! No pude dejar de llorar cuando tocaban mr. brownstone y it's so easy. Crei que seria imposible verlos. Sonò espectacular, realmente VR la rompiò en el escenario, TODA LA ADRENALINA!!! Fue genial, ojalà vengan otra vez despuès de que salga libertad!!! Saludos para todos los fanaticos!! Thanks to Pato: It was a great performance. the first surprise of the night came quickly, when the guy that used to present GN'R started shouting: " you wanted the best ????? "... that was a great moment, brought back memories... When Slash started to play the double guitar, it seemed like he was starting only women bleed, but it turned out to be an amazing version of wish you were here... then it came it's so easy, it was totall madness, GN'R was back !! or at least part of it he he !. when Mr Brownstone started i almost started to cry man ! it was amazing, i was there with my brother jumping and singing, while taping the song with my digital camera, you can watch it on youtube if you want to...bye.

Thanks to Luis Vallejos: The show was fucking great!!! As a fan of guns and roses and stone temple pilots my happyness was double. Slash and Scott rocks!!!

Thanks to Facundo Malagon: Excelent performance, i'm only 16, and i couldn't saw gnr shows in river plate stadium, but i saw a lot of videos of those concerts, and see slash runnin' through the river plate stage like in the last concert of 'orignal' formation of Guns N Roses in the ''Use your illusion tour'' was amaaazing, i think it was the best show i've ever seen.. the new songs are very cool especially 'let it roll', exellent show.. i really really enjoy it..

Thanks to Eva: First of all, sorry my english..: Waw! that's resume it!! I saw them on the Quilmes Rock Festival (april 15, before their show in the Pepsi Music Stadium or "Obras" as we still calling it). They played after two Argentinian bands "Turf" and "Ratones Paranoicos" (Or in English: Paranoid Mice), then played Evanescense... and played Velvet Revolver...but the night was closed by Aerosmith (yeah, was AMAAAZING!!!!, what a night ah?).. I was very far away from them, but I saw and hear them anyway..everyone were so excited, jumping or making "pogo" and singing (imagine that the most of audience went because Aerosmith).

Of course, the biiig surprise was Wish you Were Here. My friend and I thought that maybe they'll had play Money, but not these one... so the Arena fell down!! When they played Sex Type Thing... wow, we were soo happy!! (because we met VR because Stone Temple Pilots, and Gun's too obviously)

Slash was crazy!! He walked, ran over the footbridge .He was excited!! And of course every single person sang: Slaaaaash, Slaaaaash!! And Duff...another crazy guy on the stage!!..And yes, Scott, the great showman! But he's so slim!!! What happened with this guy since STP??....but he's still a genius!! Well, I don't now what else, was incredible, short but so cool!

Thanks to Alexis: My god, it was so incredible, the music was simply spectacular, the setlist also amazing, it was a pity that they only played for an hour in this show but the stadium was going really mad!!! After the show Aerosmith played some tunes but compared to the Velvet show it was a bucket full of shi*. Amazing nothing more to say. One of the best shows I`ve ever been.

When the lights went dark we thought...That´s it...we have expecting this for years...Then--all at once--the lights exploded and the band was in full throttle. What a WELCOME we gave yesterday to the band! All the crowd was cheering and jumping singing the famous "Ole, ole, ole, ole Velvet, Velvet" which is a kind of song that all the crowd sings as a Welcome to those bands which we have waiting for such a long time. Expressing the band our love, support and as a "manifesto" promising to breathe rock and roll as long as VR rocked the Stadium. Scott was brilliant, a performer, singer and most of all Showman and frontman that reminded a kind of Iggy Pop meets Michael Hutchence meets Judas Priest (the outfit) meets Jim Morrison...But NO! It was just Scott singing, moving, from one place to another all over the stage, the catwalk, looking into our eyes as he approached to where we were standing, two steps away from the catwalk... There was a great reception for "Sex type thing" and obviously the GNR anthems...Here in Argentina GNR is never forgotten, thats why the recepetion to the guys was so warm, the arena singing, waving and jumping all over the stadium. A great version of "Wish you were here" I must say and a excellent reception from all the arena singing along, Also "Fall to pieces" and "Set me free" as highlights. I hope Scott "The Serpent" enjoyed as much as we did , and i´m just saying Scott because the other guys know, or Should now, that here in Buenos Aires, they WERE, ARE, and will be ALWAYS WELCOME.

Thanks to Miguel Angel Romero: Nada más impactante que el baile de Scott y el sonido de la viola de Slash cautivaron de manera efectiva todo el público del estadio, imaginando que los fanáticos de Evanescence también los emocionó. Pero me atrevo a hablar solo en primera persona y afirmar que merecían unos minutos más en el escenario para demostrar todo lo que saben y lo que han hecho en el pasado. Es evidente, y no hace falta redactarlo, la exploción de la gente ante los covers de Gun´s and Roses, Stone Temple Pilots e inclusive el de Pink Floyd... Todavía no puedo creerlo.

Thanks to Paula: Hi there. I´m Paula from Buenos Aires -24, female, single=0) and I´ve just come back from the second show of Velvet Revolver in my city. I couldn’t say how happy I am. Have no words -not even in spanish-. But I'll try. First show was on Sunday 15, at River Plate Stadium, on Quilmes Rock Festival.(A four days festival, Velvet was playing the last day). Two Argentinian bands opened the show at 5.pm, around 7.30 pm we had Evanescence, then VR at 9 pm and Aerosmith closing the show from 11.pm to 0.30am. We were 50.000 people -more or less- in the stadium. VR played for an hour, and people went crazy.

It was incredible. Scott is a gret performer, fell in love with him But such a short set list was like sucking the friut without biting it. So I had –I needed to- go to the second show: Monday 16th on Obras Stadium (now they call it “Pepsi Music stadium”, but I don't like using that name). This was a much more private show, we were about 5.000 people there. And this was amazing!! Stadium was full of mad people shouting and singing for VR. They presented many of the new songs from “Libertad”, Scott said wonderful words before presenting that song... something like “When you go to a rock androll concert what you meet is truth. The truth you can't even give to your parents, the truth the communication means don't tell you and it doesnt matter in what language is spoken..” We had hundreds of people from the public moshing and at least 20 of them were taken off from the public unconcious. But we spent a great time. It couldnt be better.

I was a little girl when i was watching a GNR video where Slash was playing. That was my first contact with rock. I was 6 or 7 years old but I can still remember that feeling. I'm 24 and rock has been “My way” since then. Finally, 18 years later.. I could see him on stage, and that was my biggest rock´s dream. The band was in front of me, Slash and VR mean “rock” for me, and rock means life (or Truth, as Scott said). So I cannot explain how happy I feel tonight. Velvet Revolver ROCKS!!! Thanks for all this rock. We´ll see you next time!

Thanks to Machu Rocker Queen: We were so excited about seeing Velvet Revolver alive that the show was as short as our patience. 20 minutes after Evanescence, Velvet Revolver came into the stage and gave us the right dose of rock that we were needing. The band played an excelent setlist and the sound was pretty good. The amount of people in the River stadium was amazing! I wonder if Duff, Slash or Matt had any flashbacks from their visit to Argentina in 1992 and 1993 (well, Slash actually came back again in 1995). What else? Oh! I almost died when Scott sang our encore song "olé, olé, olé, olé" at the biggining of the show and then started singing the lyrics of Do It For The Kids. God! What a great song to start the party! I cried like a baby at Fall To Pieces. I just couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing and my ears were hearing. After that, Aerosmith came into the stage and closed the night. It was very cool. Thank's Duff for letting me hear you and see you for the first time in my life! It was one of the greatest nights in my life.

PS: What about playing You got no Right instead of Wish You Were Here???

Thanks to Santiago: Hi, I went to the show where Velvet Revolver plays at River Plate Stadium. There were terrible!!!. The way that Scott moves is awesome! This is my first that Velvet come to Argentina and I am very happy to have the opportunity to see them. They played, like always, covers from Guns N'Roses and Stone Temple Pilots and new songs from the new cd "libertad". Please Scott, join Stone Temple Pilots again!

Velvet is a great band and they played in front of 65.000 people. River Plate Stadium was full like never. I hope VR come soon to South America again, and I pray that this shows in Argentina (15/04,16/04) make VR group know, that here in my country, there are big fans of they. Thanks VR for the Rock and Roll! PS: Sorry of my english.

Thanks to Javier: Fue un show increible!!! Desde el momento que se apagaron las luces hasta el ultimo segundo de musica, el show estuvo excelente! Hubo de todo...temas nuevos, temas ya conocidos...y hubo dos temas de los Guns N' Roses que, a todo el estadio le explotó la cabeza! Lo mas hermoso es ver a 40.000 almas cantando hasta que se le sangre la garganta (a mi me paso :P)y saltando como una gran masa que lo unico que queria era escuchar rock del bueno. Y lo tuvimos.

Gracia... eternamente gracias por darme uno de los momentos mas hermosos e inolvidables de mi vida! y hoy, lunes 15... se viene el segundo! :D

Thanks to Ezequiel Volpe: Luego del paso de Evanescence en el escenario y de la respuesta del publico, cuando la lider pregunto si querian un tema mas y la respondio con un rotundo "noo" . Llega Velvet Revolver, Matt hace sonar el bombo de su bateria y la gente saltando y cantando "ole ole ole ole, velvet, velvet" .. Suena "Do it for the kids"..y el estadio estalla! Despues la gente se calma haste el tema Nº6 "It`s So Easy" en ese momento se venia el estadio abajo, increible el clima que se vivia. Ademas tocaron Mr. Brownstone, el publico enloquecido! Velvet Cerró con Slither con toda la energia...y nos quedamos con ganas de escuchar muchas horas mas de velvet revolver en el Quilmes.. Hoy tendra su turno Obras!

I'm not a fan of your band, but the energy you showed you have on stage is amazing! The singer [Scott Weiland] rocks, he ate the stage!

Slash was amazing, he was really devoted to destroy every braincell of all of the people in there and he definitely accomplished his mission! I hope you will come back soon - a few years from now, not 15 years like every big band make argentinian people wait!

Thanks to Juan Emilio Gabito: I traveled from Montevideo to Buenos Aires only to see them and the only thing I can say is wow. What a band, what an amazing show. It was just incredible. At the beginning Slash did and intro and all the crowd start singing "ole, ole, ole, ole, Velvet, Velvet", and Slash played that to! Fall to Pieces was just great. When It's So Easy started, it felt like there was an earthquake, all the crowd jumping at the same time, fucking insane! Wish You Were Here was something totally unexpected and one of the highlights and it was great. During Sex Type Thing Scott sang a part of some The Door's Roadhouse Blues (Let it roll baby, roll). Then Mr. Brownstone and the crowd went insane again. And Slither, which was just great and could have blown the whole stadium. It's the best thing I've ever seen in my whole life.
