Thanks to JOSH!: VR did their thing as part of local radio station, KROQ's LA Invasion (headlining the night was the returning Smashing Pumpkins along with the Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Chris Cornell. VR were third to last behind Foos and Pumpkins). Unfortunatly Scott was sick so his vocal were really strained plus for some reason his mic was not on that loud as even Duff and Matt's vocals were louder. Also it seemed to me that the overall sound was really low compared to previous act (Kid Rock who wasnt bad...doing a set of mostly covers). Due to the sound and Scott's vocals the crowd was sadly not very into VR getting excited for only the known hits off of Contraband and the STP songs (suprisingly not alot of love for GnR covers). Though Patience was ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!!! The crowd really got into that one and sang along with Scott. I just wished his voice wasnt shot. Also near the end of the show Scott took a spill and looked absolutly miserable during Slither...he didnt move at all and then hobbled off stage. Poor Scott. The rest of the show was awesome BTW, Chris Cornell was great and the Foos killed. Didnt care to much for neo Pumpkins...I miss D'arcy and James.
