Thanks to Ian: This was the second time I seen Velvet Revolver. The first time I seen them was at Ozzfest 2 years ago. This time was way better. They played a way longer set and threw in some STP and GNR songs and I thought that was too cool. They opened with Let It Roll and ended with Slither. It was great show!
Thanks to Yandell: I agree with Ricardo,Velevt was pure bliss for true fans of Scott & S.T.P & Guns/Roses. We drove from El Paso Tx.to witness one of the true mutha fucka rock and roller bands of today, A "Supergroup" if you will. What really disappointed me was the pathatic number of people that showed up. The festival lawn seating was empty, a number of reserved seats were empty,Scott Weiland noticed this, I think he was truly sadded And Vexed by this. The fact that he had to ask the crowd to give them something to eat so they could feed off the energy from the crowd was sad.... I loved the show.... the drive from El Paso on Tues. was well worth it,back to work by Wed.Maybe people in Albq. are to spoiled by the number of great artists that welcome your city,I WISH EL PASO WAS SO FORTUNATE....Thank you,Velvet Revolver,Alice & Chains,El Paso's own Sparta & Abel Romo for a memorable evening...Yandell...Go 49ers!!!!!!
