Thanks to Craig: Got to Brighton centre at 7 and support band Pearl came on about 7.30.They were really good and got the crowd going with a 30 minute set.The second support band the stone gods came on at 8.15 but were not really my cup of tea, seemed to be a bit rock by numbers. There was then a gap of almost an hour before VR hit the stage and a somewhat rowdy crowd was getting a bit impatient. At 9.45 they kicked of with Let it roll and the crowd went mad, went through the usual set list and were on fire.Slash looked to be really enjoying himself and was really on form, top hat and leather chaps, looked really good.Duff was quite animated as was Dave.Matt gave a solid performance and Scott didn't stop moving through out the entire show.He looked really well and fit and worked the crowd perfectly. They played Played Patience with Duff on accoustic guitar and Slash on his 12 string which was exellent with the crowd singing along.Highlight for me and my son Jack was a 3 minute solo at the end of 'Its so easy' by Slash which was truely amazing and worth the ticket price on its own. They finnished of with Slither which capped of a great show and fantastic night.Best show I've seen them do,looking forward to third album and hope they release a live cd at some point because thats where they really shine.Good to see them in my home town Brighton and hope they come back soon.

Thanks to goduffgo: Great Gig best ive ever seen Scott! So nice to see VR in my hometown..i'd never imagine they would every set foot in Brighton! She Mine was the song i remember most it stood out for me this time..they slowed the tempo down a bit and really worked! Met VR before and after the gig too with my meet and greet. Scotts vocals dipped in and out buy the way

Thanks to Stuart H: Well for starters the guys took ages to take to the stage. I think it was abut 9.45 that they kicked off and people had been getting restless.

Was it worth the wait? Well.............yes.

The guys were on top form. There may have been an element of running through the motions and there wasn't a lot of communication with the audiance and I would say no at all with each other on stage. That being said there were moments of unity between Slash and Scott on a few tunes. The energy levels started high and carried on at that level until the last song. Great to hear some STP tunes and a few G'n'R classics. Scott was clearly singing with passion and pushing himself to give the best performance he could even though the sounds at Brighton could of been better for the whole band.

Not sure where things go from here with all the backstage conflict but it would be a shame not to hear another album or see Velvet Revolver perform on stage together again. IF this was the last UK gig we ever see it's fair to say that it wasn't the best they have ever performed but even when they aren't at their best they still kick arse and know more than anyone how to truly Rock and f@ckin' roll.

Sort out the troubles VR and keep coming back, I know I for one wouldn't miss the chance to watch a genuinly great rock band and I know I'm not alone.

Thanks to JD: Well thank fuck for second chances. After what I thought was a fairly bland and routine show at Wolverhampton five days ago, this one was absolutely fantastic. Great vibrant crowd, Weiland leaving his sulking act at the door and on top form, and Slash and Duff really getting into it what more could you ask for? This was so much more like it, this band CANNOT split up because tonight they must have realised what a good thing they have got going. Fucking brilliant. Thank you VR, thank you for really delivering and I look forward to seeing you again in hopefully a year or so.
